Parys “Win a Driver” Draw: terms and conditions

1. 1. The promoter

   1. 1.1This competition (the “Draw”) is run by PlayGolf (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/388768/07, of 7 Retief St, Potchefstroom, North West, 2520 (“PlayGolf”, “we”, “us”).
   2. 1.2Parys Golf & Country Estate (“Parys”) is the participating golf course. PlayGolf runs the Draw and supplies the prize.
   3. 1.3The Draw is a promotional competition under section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and its regulations. These rules are available free of charge on this page for the whole of the Draw, and on request by email.

2. 2. Dates

   1. 2.1The Draw opens on 1 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 (South African time) on 31 December 2026, or earlier as soon as the 1 000th valid entry has been recorded, whichever happens first (the “Entry Period”).
   2. 2.2Only rounds played at Parys during the Entry Period can earn entries.
   3. 2.3The draw takes place on 15 January 2027.

3. 3. Who can enter

   1. 3.1The Draw is open to anyone aged 18 or older who lives in South Africa, holds a valid South African ID or passport, and has a PlayGolf account in their own name, registered with their own cellphone number.
   2. 3.2You can’t enter if you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of PlayGolf, of anyone who controls or is controlled by PlayGolf, or of a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Draw (including Parys Golf & Country Estate and The Pro Shop). Their spouses, life partners, business partners and immediate family members can’t enter either.
   3. 3.3For clarity, members of the Parys golf club who are not Parys staff or management may enter.

4. 4. How to earn an entry

   1. 4.1You earn one entry for each round at Parys for which you complete all three of these steps during the Entry Period: (a) Book: book a tee time at Parys through the PlayGolf app, holding a playing seat in your own name; (b) Pay: pay for your own seat in full through the PlayGolf app’s payment checkout, from your own PlayGolf account; and (c) Score: play the round and record a score for every hole of it (9 or 18 holes, as booked) on a PlayGolf scorecard, completed by 23:59 on the day of the round.
   2. 4.2You may score the round on your own phone, or a playing partner may score your group, as long as the scorecard is linked to your PlayGolf account before the Entry Period ends.
   3. 4.3Entries are per paying player. Only the player who paid for a seat in the app can earn an entry for that seat. If you pay for other players (guests, friends or a whole fourball), you earn one entry, for your own seat only, and the players you paid for earn no entry for that round.
   4. 4.4A seat paid for at the Parys pro shop, by EFT, in cash, on account, or by anyone other than the player in that seat does not earn an entry. Neither does a seat booked at no charge (R0).
   5. 4.5You can earn more than one entry by playing more qualifying rounds, but no more than one entry per person per day.
   6. 4.6Entries are counted in the order in which they are completed (the moment the last of the three steps is done). Only the first 1 000 valid entries go into the draw. If fewer than 1 000 valid entries have been received when the Entry Period ends, every valid entry goes into the draw.
   7. 4.7There is no extra charge to enter. You pay only the normal price for your round shown in the app, the same price you would pay if the Draw were not running. Normal data charges for using the app apply.

5. 5. Entries that don’t count

   1. 5.1An entry is invalid, and will be removed, if the booking is cancelled or you don’t play the round; your payment is refunded, reversed or charged back; scores are recorded for a round that wasn’t played as recorded, or for someone else; or the entry was obtained through a fake, duplicate or shared account or any other dishonest means.
   2. 5.2We may check entries against the Parys tee sheet, payment records and the PlayGolf scorecard history, and ask you to confirm your identity. If you don’t help with a reasonable verification request, your entry may be excluded.
   3. 5.3Once the 1 000-entry limit has been reached, entries stay closed even if some entries are later removed.

6. 6. The prize

   1. 6.1There is one prize: one brand-new Srixon ZXi RKT men’s driver (2026 model), with a retail value of R10 999.99 (The Pro Shop’s listed price on 1 October 2026).
   2. 6.2The winner chooses the loft (9° or 10.5°) and shaft flex (Regular or Stiff), subject to stock. The ZXi RKT is currently made right-handed only. If the winner plays left-handed, we will offer a comparable left-handed driver of similar retail value instead.
   3. 6.3If the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we will replace it with a driver of equal or greater retail value.
   4. 6.4The prize can’t be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
   5. 6.5We will hand the prize over at Parys Golf & Country Estate, or deliver it by courier to a South African street address at our cost, within 30 days after the winner has been verified.
   6. 6.6Srixon is a trademark of its owner. Neither Srixon nor The Pro Shop sponsors or is associated with the Draw.

7. 7. The draw and the winner

   1. 7.1On 15 January 2027 we will choose one winner at random from all valid entries, by computer-generated random selection, in the presence of an independent witness who is not employed by PlayGolf. Every valid entry has an equal chance of winning. Your chances depend on the number of valid entries, up to a maximum of 1 000.
   2. 7.2We will contact the winner within 3 working days of the draw by phone or WhatsApp and by email, using the details on their PlayGolf account.
   3. 7.3The winner must reply within 7 days and send a copy of their ID or passport so we can verify the entry. If we can’t reach the winner, they don’t reply in time, they turn out to be ineligible, or they decline the prize, we will draw a replacement winner from the remaining valid entries in the same way.
   4. 7.4We will announce the winner on this page and on PlayGolf’s Facebook and Instagram pages (@playgolfapp) within 7 days after the winner accepts the prize, using their first name, surname initial and town, but only with the winner’s consent. The winner does not have to take part in any publicity to receive the prize. If the winner prefers not to be named, we will still confirm here that the prize has been awarded.

8. 8. Your personal information

   1. 8.1We use your name, contact details and your booking, payment and scoring records to run the Draw: to count and verify entries, contact the winner and deliver the prize. We do this in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act and our Privacy Policy (playgolfapp.co.za/privacy-policy).
   2. 8.2We share the winner’s name and contact details with Parys or a courier only as far as needed to hand over the prize.
   3. 8.3As the law requires, we keep a record of the Draw (these rules, the winner and how the winner was chosen) for three years.

9. 9. Facebook and Instagram

   1. 9.1The Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook or Instagram. By entering, you release Meta from any liability in connection with the Draw. Please send any questions about the Draw to us, not to Meta.

10. 10. General

    1. 10.1Entering the Draw doesn’t change the normal booking, payment and cancellation terms in the app, our Player Terms of Service, or the Parys course rules.
    2. 10.2We may change these rules only where the law requires it or where circumstances beyond our reasonable control make it necessary. A change will never take away an entry you have already earned. We will post any change on this page with the date it was made.
    3. 10.3If we have to end the Draw early for reasons beyond our reasonable control, we will hold the draw from the valid entries received up to then.
    4. 10.4Nothing in these rules limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law.
    5. 10.5These rules are governed by the law of South Africa.
